Modular Stair Towers for Scalable Vertical Access

Z-Stack™ is SafeSmart’s modular stair tower system for creating repeatable vertical access on temporary jobsites and permanent industrial installations. Stackable aluminum modules can be configured into multi-level towers that provide a defined stair route between grade, floors, rooftops, excavation levels, decks, and elevated work areas.

Rather than relying on temporary ladders, improvised stairs, or repeated scaffold rework, Z-Stack™ uses engineered stair-tower modules that can be assembled, repositioned, extended vertically, or configured around the site requirements. The system can be supplied as separate modules for site assembly or craned into position as a fully assembled tower when the application allows.

Z-Stack™ is available in Standard and Compact module configurations. Standard modules provide a wider stair run and more room for crews, tools, and materials. Compact modules reduce the tower footprint for locations where space is limited, including permanent rooftop and industrial facility installations.

Standard and Compact Configurations

Select the module type around the available footprint, required stair width, work activity, and whether the system is intended for temporary or permanent access.

• Standard Modules: Typically used for construction and temporary access where a wider stair path and larger deck area support crew, tool, and material movement.
• Compact Modules: Typically used where footprint is limited, including permanent fixed access applications within industrial facilities and rooftops.
• Scalable Layouts: Both configurations can be stacked to create multi-level vertical access based on the required elevation and site layout.
