The AdaptaStep™ 70° Ladder Crossover creates a defined route over pipes, ducting, conduits, machinery, process lines, and other fixed obstructions that interrupt safe movement across rooftops and industrial facilities. Its compact 70° ladder-style access is suited to locations where a more gradual 45° stair crossover would require too much footprint.

Each crossover combines AdaptaStep 70° ladder modules with bridge planks to create a configuration around the required clearance height and crossing length. This allows teams to establish a purpose-built route over an obstruction instead of relying on site-built stepovers, loose ladders, or climbing across equipment.

Perforated plate decking supports traction while allowing dirt, grease, and debris to pass through the walking surface. Listed standard configurations include bolt-on handrails and feet, with multiple ladder heights and bridge-plank lengths available.

Built on the AdaptaStep™ Modular System

AdaptaStep is built around SafeSmart’s patented T-slot extrusion framework. T-bolt hardware locks into integrated extrusion channels, allowing ladder modules, bridge planks, handrails, and support components to be assembled into a coordinated access route without site cutting or welding.
